Sometimes anxiety comes quietly. Not like a storm, but like ..

Sometimes anxiety comes quietly. Not like a storm, but like rust: slowly eating away at you from the inside. You can smile, work, talk, even flirt — and at the same time fight the invisible pressure on your chest. I've learned not to push it away, but to notice it. To breathe calmly. To pause. To ask myself: is this true... or just a thought? I go outside, take a break from the noise, make hot tea, touch my body — not to fix it, but to thank it. I remind myself that I'm not alone. That anxiety doesn't make me weak — it's just a part of me, but not all of me. And one thing helps: to speak honestly. Even with someone who simply asks, "How are you? Sometimes, in order to cope with anxiety, it's enough to be near someone who is not afraid of the depths." And how do you cope with what is not visible from the outside? Or are you used to keeping silent when you especially need to be heard? 😉
