***HEY YALL!*** About time to call a close on the walk. After 1100+ miles I am happy to end my walk/ruck/run adventure. I’m feeling truly grateful. You amazing folks raised thousands of dollars for @pbabbate and @allclearfdn and I was able to experience something so rich and profound I have difficulty calling it to words. I rucked alone across the Sonora. I made friends with carrot farmers and desert bartenders and casino security guards and more than a few reservation dogs. I ran more in the last two months than the previous two years combined. I stood atop a fire tower on a mountain and knew awe as never before. I cried in the dark on the roadside and called out to the dead. I knew pain in my feet. I made space for peace and non judgment. I sought after Socrates and Buddha and listened to Melville and listened to Melville. I walked through boots and ran through shoes. I had a lot of fun. I thought about love and how to share it.
